Oh, the hissing, spitting and growling that going on in this house! And it's pretty much just from Sophie, poor little kitty. She's just had her whole world changed and now these strange new people want her to make friends with another kitty too? On the same day ( Read more... )

Aw... It's definitely best to ease them into it by keeping them in separate rooms so they can get used to each other's scents. Then switch them. (Forgive me if you already know this.)

More than likely in a few days' time, they'll be playing and enjoying each other's company. 'til then, try not to get bit!

I sure hope so. She's such a cute kitty and Dinsy wants to be friends. Maybe she'll calm down in a day or two....

Our first cat would never accept another cat, but she was pretty old. Dinsy tried to make friends with her previous owner's cats, but they weren't having any of it. I'm sure Sophie will calm down in a day or two....even if she doesn't, she's our cat now. We have two and they will tolerate each other, at the very least....
It's just been one day, I'm sure she'll eventually calm down. Cats are more resilient than you think. We moved 4 times with Cat Head and she did just fine. As long as they have their stuff and their people around, it's home, it just smells different.
