A strange thought. It feels as though it has been longer.

I am changed, I think. I cannot say if it is or is not for the better.

It is a date worth noting, whether we have changed for better or for worse here. But while I cannot know what you were like before, I am glad that we have met.

It seems arbitrary. A year is reckoned differently on other worlds, I am certain. Even so it is symbolic, I suppose.

One year trapped here. I would think, my good Juhani, that changing is not the thing to be concerned with, hm? No, no, it is more that an entire year has gone by and you are still in this cage.

Myself, I am not at a year yet. But it approaches on evil little feet, laughing, mocking, saying that I have not gotten anywhere, have not done anything except die.

But you have not died, yes? So maybe, for you, you have done better than I.
