Off the record and out of character?

Thank you. She needs more love. Hell, I wanted to reach into the screen and give her a hug - if anyone needs one, it's her.

She has always been one of my favorite characters in KOTOR. Stanley Woo did a hell of a job not only in writing her, but sneaking her past LucasArts' notorious homophobia. She's one hell of a fighter, and struggling so much that it makes the moments where she stands with confidence all the more beautiful. It also sucks that so much of her dialogue was left on the cutting room floor.

In my own fanfic, I've tried to do justice to her voice and her style. She's not easy to write well. I've only got 3 KOTOR journals; this one, a Darth Traya, and my version of Revan force_empath. Mostly these are just to screw around on boards and try to snap out of this stress-induced writers' block.

Thank you.

I've always loved Juhani, mood swings and strange appearance and everything. I was torn between trying to play her and trying to play Mission, and while I do still think Mission could be fun to try I am glad to make the effort with Juhani. When I was active on KFanMedia I wrote about her a lot, but I like to think my ability to characterized has evolved a bit since then.

It does suck how many of her lines never made the final game. It might contribute to her lack of popularity. In the game, she's got so little dialogue, never really interacting with most of the cast.

This is my only KotOR journal, but I have probably too many Star Wars journals.

KFM? Been there for years. What's your handle?

I only found out about Juhani's lost dialogue when I started modding. I did my best to restore it, but there's still plenty I wasn't able to restore.

Mission reminds me a lot of my godchild/niece, and I always saw her as a more important character than would be obvious. I did not pick up on how critical she was until I played Knights 2 and could find no character who could act as a unifier, or deliver anything resembling hope. She wouldn't have too much of a problem with Canderous. She'd likely get along GREAT with Jolee. With Carth? It is WAY too easy to see them falling into some sort of surrogate father and daughter situation. And if anyone could help Juhani remember an aspect of Taris that didn't suck, it'd be Mission.

Sorry, I was on vacation over the weekend.

I'm Joysweeper there, but I haven't done much there for a while. You?

I know of her suspicions about Canderous and how she had something to say about the various planets, thanks to Wookieepedia. Was there more?

Mission does seem like she'd be a good candidate for the heart of the crew. Or auxiliary heart, since I guess Revan's the reason why they're all there. I wish crew interactions had been explored a little more in depth.
