It occurs to me, as I come up on 20,000 words and know I'm going to significantly more, that I'm actually going to have a draft of a fic in -- probably a few days? o_O How did my little steve/tony fic become 17,000 words, with at least 8k more to go? *boggles* Also, what is this original character doing being all pushy and inserting himself into the story? And why did this thing decide there was sort of an actual, you know, plot?

I remember in Iron Man (1 and/or 2, can't remember), there's a thing about him not liking people to hand him things. He refuses to take things from one or two people for that reason. For some reason, all of my half-dormant, simmering feelings about Avengers -- and in particular, Tony and Stave -- have come roaring back over the last week or so.
