today was a standard day; slacking at work, coffee with my great ex-boss Jason and a lone lunch at Leo's reading my future grad advisor's excellent book on women in Japan. enjoyed the decadent pleasure of driving to and from work, as Liz is out of town for a conference, and made my homemade "cyclone" chili, (listening to Ellitt Smith and Gram ( Read more... )

What is "cyclone" chili? And you actually eat brussels sprouts?

Somebody did a study that concluded that people who really like brussels sprouts have less sensitive tastebuds than those who don't. Draw your own conclusions...

well, it was a mixed bag. i went to bed early, and after a while drifted off, only to be awoken by a text message on my cell phone, after which i couldn't quite fall back asleep. so i'm still a little tired, but i'm glad to have resisted the urge.

give it up for Norse heritage! is there a Norse Heritage Month?
