So I just found out via Facebook that Alex is already in another relationship. That didn't take long. We haven't even been broken up a month and he's moved on. Guess he didn't care for me very much at all. That makes me feel great about myself. Thanks, Alex. I really appreciate you helping my self-esteem

Guys can't stand being alone. THis is why so many widowers tend to remarry within a year or two of their wives deaths, especially those married for multiple decades.

Doesn't mean he's not a snake. He probably is. But guys just operate differently from girls.

Just be happy you aren't with him anymore; from what I know of your breakup he didn't really seem to take it/do it like a man.

I know some single guys up here that are groovy, problem is they're up here and you're down there. :(

Yeah...I need to come visit you sometime. I'm hoping I can get some pet sitting jobs over the summer so I can have money coming in. Then maybe I can come see you. I think we'd have a good time together....seems we have alot in common.

I'm having a crawfish boil at the end of the month, as a housewarming/birthday party (although I'm not really playing up the birthday part). If you can get up here, I have a place for you to stay, can feed you for the whole weekend, and can give you gas money for the trip home :) Hell I might even provide money to get you up here! YOU NEED TO COME UP HERE!

I'd hate for you to pay for my gas. I mean I still owe you for those shoes. My car's not in great shape, but maybe if I can at least get it an oil change....I'll see what I can do, k? I make no promises though.

I take offense that you think this behavior is limited to just guys...

I can give you my theory as to why there's a short of nice guys. Short version is they all get chewed up along the way...

I never said it was JUST guys. I know women can be assholes too. I just with there were people out there that weren't that way. At this point I don't care if it's a male or a female.....I just want someone that isn't a complete dick to me.

well, you DID say that you hate guys and wish there was just one that wasn't such an ass. I'm a guy, and not such an ass. Being one of those mythical nice guys, I get lumped in with the douchenozzles enough :P

I've been in the same little fun spot you're in now a couple times. When a heart breaks, it don't break even. And my general experience is that when a couple breaks up, there's usually at least 1 of the 2 who mentally left already. For them, leaving is the last step of moving on, while it's the first step for the other person. You really can't read how much he did or didn't care about you from that. (Hell, in one case, I had to break up with someone BECAUSE i cared about them. That's all sorts of fun...)

Not defending the guy or anything, just giving you some of my theories in hopes it helps you wrap your brain around it in some helpful way. Not sure there is such a thing, but it doesn't stop me from trying. If the shoe fits and all that...
