VACATION

My mom and I are going on vacation in June, but we don't know where to go....
We want to go somewhere in the U.S., but not New England. Somewhere that has a lot of little shops and a more relaxing atmosphere, but not boring. One day in a city would be ok, but not the entire vacation in a city. Any suggestions would be Really appreciated!Thanks

The DC area has a lot of really nifty places to go. There is the city proper, of course, which has Georgetown, but nearby you also have Annapolis, Alexandria, many islands, and some very nice parklands and semi rural areas. There is a lot of history, of course, and all sorts of fantastic restaurants.

Not to mention me! ;)

I almost forgot - the Potomac Celtic Festival will be sometime in June as well!

Thanks for the suggestion...I'll look it up. Although we were hoping to not go around the east coast this time, but I'll look into it anyways. Thanks again!
