Bummed.

I am so tired of the army jerking us around....  every other day we hear something different about Andrew's career.  This week, on Monday they told him that because he's S4, and therefore mission essential, his med board would be put on hold at least until the guys got back from deployment.  That was great news, because that would've gotten us into ( Read more... )

Oh, sweetie! *hugs*
I'm not affiliated with the military, but I do live at Fort Hood, and I hear this all the time. The Army's claims to be family friendly don't quite stand up in reality, do they?

Here's wishing the best for you and your family, and big hugs. Keep in mind, none of it is finalized yet.

Thanks.... I know, I just need to remember to take *everything* the Army says with a grain of salt at this point. That's part of the reason I asked my DH not to tell me every little thing anymore - I'm too emotional about it all right now. I do wish *he* understood a little better, but I know that really he's just as worried about things as I am... maybe more, since he's the one having to take care of us all.

I don't know anyone who's been in the military who *hasn't* been jerked around like crazy. It's truly awful. The people putting their lives on the line for their country shouldn't be treated like this, and neither should their families.

I'm so sorry, sweetie. :(

Pregnancy is stressful and hormonal, and I'm betting it's worse with twins. Add to it your husband is stressed from worrying about you and the babies and the condition is ripe for a nice fine argument, even without the uncertainty of the military assignment. I spent my entire first pregnancy ready to KILL my husband.

Seriously, it's going to be OK. Try to concentrate on today, nothing has happened today, and today can be enjoyable. You can't do a damn thing about the assignment, so focus on the now and try to let go of it for now.
