You want to listen to the crappy local bands? Well, no, they're not really crappy. I do like them, or I wouldn't be going. But I'm so jaded and let down/surprised by the South Dakota music scene that I just kind of half expect them to suck a little, or at least don't feel comfortable calling them good until I see them live.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

pee.ess. For real? That's awesome. If that's still going on when I get paid next week (which I would imagine it would be?), that's a definite possibility. I'm planning on donating anyway.

Me too! As soon as my loan check comes in I am sending something. Is it sad, though, that I looked at the wand and thought.. "but that's not the one I waaaaant"?

Also, I would <3 some local music.. do they play live in Mitchell? Because we should totally go when I visit. I caught some local Sioux Falls bands when I was in college at SDSU that one year and they weren't bad. Not as hot at the Athens music scene, but still pretty decent.

I did that, too. I wish they'd just do that for all the wands. I want Holly, not Rosewood LOL

I don't know how often they're in Mitchell. Most of the local bands are actually from Sioux Falls and Watertown, I think. But they're playing the Freedom stage at CPW, so we'll see if they're any good for real. If they are, we can see if they'll be around when you're here. Or if anyone else will. There's a Mitchell band I'd like to try to see (or at least hear LOL), but I can't find ANYTHING on them. Their website is dead. Maybe they don't exist anymore LOL
