Put me on the "Dave's dad is a psychologist headcanon" pile.

I love how you write this fic from behind the scenes, showing Dave's emotions and thoughts as the events of the shhow happen. I'm definitely waiting for more.

Dave being in the room when Burt proposed to Carole has been my headcanon ever since Carole said, "We wanted the two of you to be the first to know" and Burt replied, "Yeah. After the kids in that homeroom." I heard that line and was like OMW SUDDENLY KAROFSKY -- seriously, how else did that kid find out about the wedding so fast? Not to mention the idea of Dave trying so hard to put things with Kurt aside and mind his own business and then being suddenly bombarded with yet more references to Kurt is just too funny to pass up.

Dave's rationalizations are some of the hardest, but most fun, things to write. Every time, I'm like "No. Dave. Why. I DON'T EVEN--" But Dave doesn't have access to a lot of the information we do, so his view is necessarily pretty skewed. I'm glad they're still easy enough to follow. Thanks for reading!

Yeah, I have to say this is the best fic featuring Karofsky I've seen, and the only one that I feel -never- lets anyone slip OOC. You did such a perfect job of illustrating his confusion, how the things he did after the 'incident' would make some sort of sense, however terrified and lost it may be. Thanks for writing him in a way that helps us sympathize! I can't wait to see how more of this brilliant mess plays out on-screen but now I'll be watching your posts, too. :D

Full disclosure 'cause I feel like I should: I only started watching the show about a week ago. And I only started watching it because of Never Been Kissed. Instantly hooked, great acting and writing. <3

Oh, wow. This is really, really good. I'm so impressed by how well you get into Dave's head, how all the depth that's in his character comes out here.

Thank you! I love pulling apart Max's performance; it never ceases to amaze me how many subtle little facial expressions he can pull off in one scene.

And the fact he got 15+ solid minutes of screen time in the last episode to show that ability off? Freakin' awesome. \o/
