I just got back from DealGym today. 'Professional' is the vibe I got from them. Definitely a bit more of a old-jock vibe to the place. They highlighted that they do CrossFit competitions where as the OtherGym does not. They do not accept children/teens and had a much younger cliental then the other gym. I was actually reasonably happy with how both gyms approached coaching from what I saw. OtherGym was more relaxed, but in a competent sort of way. Both box's have owners with significant experience and have coaches who teach coaches.

I just received several pages worth of material to read before my first class on form, nutrition and such with more promised to come later in the OnRamp. We'll see how it goes but they are right across the street from one another so I will definitely switch if needed :D

Cool. I figured you wouldn't be the type to put up with subpar coaching and cutting corners on being smart, but I know CrossFit is kindof a beast unto itself. And owners who are veterans and coaches who teach coaches are often good signs.
