Congrats!
I'm still interested in the position, but I'm still struggling with my resume.

So you need to find a replacement, eh? circe_pleading June 10 2008, 10:13:34 UTC
I'd at least like to fill out the application/write the essays/take the 7 league walk in 5 league boots, etc. ...

I didn't tell LJ at large, but within about 8 months I've been promoted from lowly-entry-level to first-tier supervisor of my department. (Official announcement is forthcoming, for a number of reasons.)

Also, a huge congratulations. I know you've worked your tail off and sold your soul (admittedly, to something cool) to achieve this. You've earned it, you deserve it, and I can't think of a better guy for the job. *high five* and a *big bear hug*

Congrats!

Is this really the "hard part"?

Not really. The hard part is the new job itself!

I don't know if you remember me, but I just thought I'd point out that lots and lots of the class of 08 of your alma mater still has no job. More specifically, most graduating folks at Milikan have no job. Just a few ideas...(I personally do, so I'm not interested, but a big congratulations, nevertheless! :))

Believe me, I'm workin' the U of C angle. In fact, I've gotten two hired in the last year! But it never hurts to send CAPS a reminder :)
