I think parts of my memory of that movie simply were erased to salvage my sanity. I mean, I'm used to wonderful scifi books becoming mediocre shoot-em-up-whee-explosions! movies, but that one excelled in its mediocritizing.

I don't care if that's not a word, also. So there.
