It’s always bad news when an email arrives from MediaWest these days, and there it was, a few days ago: another long-time fan, Melissa M., has passed away.
Melissa was one of the bright lights of MW - I always enjoyed talking to her, and so many others, at my annual trip to Lansing, MI. She was always friendly, always interesting to talk to,

I suppose with so many of us being of an age, it's bound to happen. Shore Leave became less with the loss of Robin H.. I'm sure there are others that I just haven't heard about because they had drifted away from fandom. It's sad.

*hugs* It's hard to watch fandom grow old and so many good friends leave. I still miss Denetia - she had such an infectious laugh.
