Just a quick THANK YOU post to all of the wonderful people on my flist who took the time to wish me well on my birthday. I was overwhelmed by the kindness and caring I received from you all. *hugs everyone* I was worried I'd truly struggle with turning 40 but I think I managed the day pretty well. I didn't spend it crying or anything *laughs*

The lavender duck hasn't been put to rest yet? How long's it going now, 3 years or so? That cutie is worse than some of my plotbunnies, for sure. *grin*

Forty is a little weird, isn't it? You know you're not suddenly old but it's hard not to think "Holy SHIT! I'm FORTY!!!" But for me it was only a momentary thing really, and then I forgot all about it. Of course there are sudden shocks like seeing my medical records information with a big 4-0 in the "age" section, which was sort of startling. But in all, it turns out to be not a big deal. And I hope you had a very happy birthday. :)

I'll get back to you on how 45 feels - I think that's going to be a rough one too, LOL.

Well you are not ahead of me by much, a few months *laughs* but I did pretty good with 40 I think. Like you said, it will shock me when I see it in black and white on some forms or something *laughs*
