I also thought you handled the L/S thing well, hinting that she knows about his feelings, but doesn't want to actually say anything because that will make it a real thing and awkward, so she tip-toes around it instead.
The disintegration of the friendship made me sad despite my dislike of Lily. I just want to smack some sense into the both of them! Stupid, stupid kids! Poor Hagrid, trying to reason with a sixteen year old. :)
I think the saddest like for me was the one about them not spending any time together for the first time. That just seemed to make their estrangement more real.
