I have a fic of roughly 32K that I'm getting ready to post. When I write, I tend not to break up into individual chapter, but might put a break in to denote time has passed. One or two of these combined might equal a suitable chapter length. I think

Heh - good point. It split into 8 semi-even chapters, so I tried that. Hopefully the breaks make sense of some sort. Thanks!

I read 32k in one chunk all the time. It especially is much better than a whole bunch of short or awkward breaks. Then again, I read on my laptop, not on any kind of mobile device.

I read on my iPad about 99% of the time. I usually nab the whole thing, then don't close down Safari so that when I get to work it doesn't try to reload and I can read as much as I want without cursing the lack of internet there. I went with chapters because AO3 gives you the option of the chunk even if you do it that way. I suck at splitting things though, so we'll see how this turns out. :)
