Poking at some WIPs that have been sitting for a while, but my heart's not really in it. Out of nowhere, I really want to work both on my original stuff again, and a couple of WIPs that I have forgotten about for literally years because they are trapped on my dead laptop and/or on a thumb drive that I'm not sure our server will take

Buy a new portable drive of some kind and take it to someone/somewhere with a Mac. Reformat the blank drive to exFAT using the Mac's disk utility, and it will now read AND write to both PCs and Macs :)

(For some stupid reason, even though you can format to exFAT using a PC as well, the Mac refuses to read it properly.)

I own a few drives I've done this to because of using Macs at school/work and PCs at home.
