I've been half-watching a nature program on TV - the kind where they try to prove how awesome an animal is by assessing its skill as a killer - and they had footage of an arctic fox (being chased by a polar bear). I hate those documentaries, though. They always overdramatise the simple fact that some animals must chase and kill to eat.

Well, this one ended up that the most fearsome killer was the shrew (apparently the world's smallest mammal) - it has to kill and eat its own body weight every 24 hours because its metabolism is so fast. So, I guess it was not so bad in that sense.

However, I also love the David Attenborough ones. <3 All others are two or less.

I have a D.A. book signed to me, my dad met him once! I ♥ David Attenborough bigstyle. BBC Bristol nature doccos and The Bill, that's what my family would sit down to watch together when I was growing up.

But rememeber the killer whale one!? That was truly brutal. I cried!

I don't think I saw that one. My doco watching is patchy these days (and ABC seems to put a whole bunch of good stuff on Sunday night, when I'm always out. Makes me sad.)
