Female: Kiri Te Kanawa (to sing like that!) or Barbra Streisand (I've never had any of her CDs, but she does have a fantastic voice--and lots of money!)
Male: Luciano Pavarotti or Johnny Mercer--both live(d) interesting lives & Pavarotti has/had that amazing voice
