As I'm a big fan of cross-over fanart, I had to try the Moomin theme once again:

The first one was amusing, but the second one truly combines the magnificence of the early art of Eroica with the Moomins style! How did you manage that?! Love it!
(Also, yes, when I was in Japan I bought some cookies thinking they would be typically Japanese and they were actually typically Finnish because they depicted the Moomins!)

Wow, I hope it was not too disappointing for you to get something finnish instead of japanish when you bought those cookies! X)

So true about Moomin's popularity in Japan - in fact there is even a Moomin cafe in Tokyo!! It was full of women (not kids as one might expect) and if you happen to go there alone, a life-sized soft toy of Moomin characters of your choice will sit with you to keep your company…lol Yes only in Japan…I know! You can see some pics of the Moomin cafe here: http://girlabouttown.blog.fc2.com/blog-category-2.html

Btw I added now a third picture to the post, this time it's about moominversions of certain KGB agents.
I didn't know there was even a moomin cafe in Tokyo! If I ever get to visit Tokyo, I also want to visit this cafe - it's just too peculiar a thing to miss! :D But then again to be honest here in Finland there is a complete moomin theme park called Moominworld (located in Naantali on the south-west coast of Finland). I've only visited it once as a small child, and I believe it's mainly designed for children and families (unlike the moomin cafe in Tokyo, I guess).

(Also as a kid I used to wach moomin animation series like all other finnish children so I can't really overlook the nostalgia it includes.)

Yes, I'm Swedish and grew up with Moomins too (in Swedish Mumin). Adorable!! Nice work!

I didn't know moomins were popular in Sweden too, although the author of original moomin series was a swedish-speaking Finn.
