Agree with you on pretty much everything wrt AoS. Pilots are always rough, though, so I'll give it some time. Some of it was *so* rough, I wondered if there were some editing/time issues. I really hope J. August Richards returns. When I first saw him I was all "yessssssss!" and then as the plot moved forward in the episode I was all "....noooooooooo" and among the issues you brought up, it also came across as a case of Trying Too Hard with the whole "fuck the system" thing.
The only thing I really liked was that the "damsel in distress" character that is saved at the beginning turns out to be the morally questionable doctor and potential season villain.

I read somewhere that there were rumors of massive rewrites and problems. Not sure if there's any truth to that, but it sure seems like as good an explanation as any.
Good point about the villain. I assume we'll find out more about her and any others doing the same thing, but I'm having a hard time drumming up interesting. Just, meh.
I was glad to see Clancy Brown's ghost (or Abbie's delusion) make an appearance. At the moment, I am more interested in the sister in the institution than any of the other nonsense in Sleepy Hollow. If she and Clancy stay front and center I'll probably keep watching. If not, it will be easy to ditch as shows hung on the "snarky partners" cliche have no appeal to me.
Didn't watch AoS. They're agents. Agents are cops, essentially, and I *so* don't care.
Definitely hoping for the sister and CB to stick around, too.
Yeah, that's part of my lack of enthusiasm for the show. I am so burnt out on cop shows, procedurals, etc. I want something new and different for a change.
Good to know! I'm about halfway through my first KDrama of the historical variety - The Great Queen Seon Deok - and I'm enjoying it a lot. Let me know if you have any to recommend!
Why yes, I pretty much agree with all your points here, particularly main agent character's total blandness and the Whitey McWhite aspect of the show. Also, thank you for pinpointing why I really was so uncomfortable with what happened to Gunn's character arc. It was also weird and forced.
So, yeah, not as excited, but I figure I'll give it another shot.
