I'm so tired, I'm working the midnight launch of Battlefield 3 tonight even though another retailer broke street date and we were selling them this afternoon. I've worked all day and have to go back in at 10pm and likely will not be done until 1pm. At least I have the day off tomorrow, I have some things to do like call Visa about someone trying

Breaking street date is a huge violation. If I were you and you haven't already, report the dbags that did. It takes a while for something to be done, but I did eventually get a small mom & pop music/video store closed down because they were violating street dates when I worked for BBV and they took a good chunk of our business away due to it.

Apparently a Target store in other state broke street date and they were next to a JB HiFi who started selling theirs early in retaliation, and suddenly all JB HiFis were selling the game. Then EB Games (where I work) called the company who made the game and asked permission to start selling it. Because we're awesome. XD
I'm not sure what the laws are over there but when a major street date like this is broken usually the staff member responsible is fired, the business responsible is fined and in worst-case scenarios the stock of games from the distributor is pulled from the store.

I know what you mean about house vs space. I used to live in an old old OLD Victorian that I thought was awesome but the landlord and his shenannigans were not, so I had to make the choice to leave it behind. Once I got used to the idea of the move the house lost its shiny status and I was good to go.
