I have been reading your blog for ages now, via Alisa via Gillian.... I've also bought and enjoyed a couple of your books - not because you've actively pushed them on the blog but because you blogged about the process of writing them. I've felt a part of the process almost, so that I had to read them - lucky they were good, eh? I like reading about you and your kids, especially as your eldest daughter is almost the same age as mine, but in an interested, totally non-stalkerish way, honest!

I love reading about the parenting of kids similar in age to mine too! And yes, luckily you liked the books :D

Something else I mentioned in the lecture is the importance of readers and commenters! Regular commenters like you make a blog feel like a fun, lively place to hang out for the author as well as other readers, and I would appreciate you for that even if you never bought a book of mine!

(heh though let's face it, the balance has been more than made by the number of books I've made you buy that other people have written)

I know...you have forced me to buy books AND enjoy them! But it's a sacrifice I'm prepared to make!
