1. I have a guest post up at Justine Larbalestier’s blog, talking about how reading has become a luxury rather than a necessity. I may be trying to do more about that shortly, but my priority right now should not be reading, it is EDITING.

I got my copy of Siren Beat yesterday at Pulp Fiction in Brisbane - they had a great display set out which included it :)

That's lovely to hear! It's a little book so I haven't even seen it in a bookshop. But it is an awesome cover design so I hope the bookshops who do take it get good results from it.

Also, you know, it's pretty rare to find such slender books outside the YA genre... it would be cool to provide evidence that yes, people will buy little books.
