Okay. I've been looking for some good mind expanding books and you've just given me a great place to start. I recently discovered Neal Degrasse Tyson's radio show and am catching up with podcasts.

*waves in 4/4* Ahaha.

And how amazing that you got back into your art by going to a con! This fandom is one great story after another.

For the hard sciences, Michio Kaku is also a good place to start. He's a physicist who's very good at layman-level explanations.

eta: Listen to him go.

OH MAN!
are you SUre we're not related??
I can't read music, but I can pick out the drum part fairly well.

I grew up watching Cosmos, NOVA and all those. I adore Neil deGrasse Tyson (even if I can't spell his name) and Bill Nye -- even if I happen to disagree on them about how the universe started, I adore their presentations.

I am a science/history/nature documentary JUNKIE. I love music.

I love drawing, and do quite a bit, but I don't have a scanner and I can't do stuff on the computer, so you might not be seeing much of my stuff online. I do have a deviantart...jennytork on there.... and the few I were able to scan before my scanner permanently died are there.

LOL, related, we might be. "We all live in a yellow submarine," as the Fab Four once said, ;) so who knows?

Re drawing, if you can't scan . . . photograph. I've done it a few times, and know of at least two fellow fanartists who do it regularly.

I love the variety AND DETAIL you've shared. It's great getting recs of things new-to-me (I want to expand my horizons in 2014), and it makes me smile to see the positive impacts fandom has had on your life too.

I may have, erm . . . multiple interests. :) And despite all the crazy that goes on here, SPN fandom is one of the better things to happen to me. :)

Also? I got distracted by shiny things before responding to your snowflake post, but although QL was before my entry into any fandom, I had the most massive crush on Sam Beckett. :D

Now I can't get a SPN (or J2) Watership Down fusion out of my head...

Sam would be like some odd hybrid of Bigwig and Fiver.

O_O !!!!!! \o/

Holy cow, that is perfect! Sam would have to be Fiver 'cause of the visions, and Bigwig because of, well, his sheer size. And the hair, of course, LOL. Woman, I love your mind. LOVE. IT. (Dean would be a snarkier version of Hazel, methinks.)

Wow, I ♥♥♥ this image!

. . . so. SPN_cinema is coming up soon . . . XDDD
