There is a song that only I can hear and it makes me think of whales crashing through the waves, of nightingales singing on the millstone in the moonlight. After I met you the whales were butchered and their flukes smashed up all the ships and the nightingales were ground up with the wheat and spoilt the flour. And night after night you make me sing their song to you.
