Written for the prompt "the history books forgot about us..." by
midnightblack07, happy holidays!
my fingers laced to crown » game of thrones. cersei/jaime. pg-13. 822 words.
One day, they will be remembered for the things that mattered least. warnings: incest. I own nothing of the show/books/characters/etc.

He wonders, there in Casterly Rock, at the age of ten, if the reason that Cersei cares so much more about knowing the names of all these people of old is because she wants people to one day remember her name. )

I LOVE the way you interpreted this prompt--particualrly with regards to Jaime because we can already see that people's memories seem to momentarily ~forget all the Mad King's misgivings so that they could condemn Jaime.
He will be remembering for slaying kings, not fathering them -
And never for loving a queen.
THIS IS PERFECTION <3__<3

Heh, yeah, it did become rather super Jaime-centric - the white book and the last scene was actually the first part I thought of when I read the prompt - but I'm so so happy you liked and worked for you, there really is SO MUCH that is interesting in all that stuff.
ALL MY JAIME/CERSEI CREYS. Seriously, I've seen this line used as a prompt for a few pairings but they are quite possibly my FAVOURITE to apply it to, for all the sad ways, so yeah, I love you for prompting it :)
