Christmas is over and it was all fun but the adults around here are feeling done. We did Christmas in the Park and Zoo Lights this week. Christmas Eve we did a gumbo dinner with catzen and today we had my family here (my mom, dad, aunt, uncle, and catzen. The kids got lots of gifts, including a veritable mountain of Legos for S. who spent the entire day

Wait until they start getting BETTER than you at some things... that's a humbling experience. Kalen is already better than me at art (which is not hard to do since my talent in visual art is minimal at best) and she cooks some things better than I. I am not jealous but astounded and proud.

S. is already better than me at Legos. He creates amazing vehicles from his own mind and they are always symmetrical which impresses me as he is only four. I am not sure I could come up with some of the stuff he does. He's got a while to surpass me in the kitchen, though :-) .
