Dino-Cassettebots

If finding information on the regular Autobot Cassettes is tough, then there is next to no information whatsoever on this subgroup of the Cassettebots. No one knows where they came from or who created them, or even what their personalities, abilities and weaknesses are apart from a general observation.

Canonically, these four (or six if you count the combined modes) made their appearance in the Japanese Transformers Headmasters series in 1987. Similar to Slamdance, these cassettes only have mechanoid/humanoid forms when combined with their respective partners, roughly the same height as the Minibots.

Individually, their root modes are those of dinosaurs, with the usual cassette alt. They are possibly taller than Eject and Rewind, maybe averaging around 7' to 8' for Noise, Saur and Dial, and around 7' for Graphy.

The Dino-cassettebots include:

Dairu
(Romanized name: Dial)

The energy resource scout for the Autobots, Dairu has a rather keen sense of curiosity about anything and everything around him, which can sometimes lead to him wearing himself out while he's on a scouting mission.

Zauru
(Romanized name: Saur)

The most powerful of the four Dino-cassettes, it's unknown if his strength is equal to or greater than that of Ramhorn. However, it is clear that he is most at home under water where he is said to be even stronger than on land. Despite his strength, he is a peaceful, kindly creature with a fondness for squirrels and birds.

Legout
(Romanized name: n/a)

Younger brother to Decibel, Legout contains a supercomputer that allows him to record a vast amount of information. It's possible that it may be similar to Rewind's light-matrix. It is unknown what kind of information he records, but judging from his two individual components, it could possibly be a combination of energy resouces (perhaps both natural and artificial) on land and underwater, and the resource's surrounding environment. This information is valuable to the Autobots as it helps them tap into the energy with minimal harm to the environment.

Legout has an enthusiastic and carefree personality, and in battle, he uses a pair of shoulder-mounted wave blasters that can deafen an opponent by overloading his audio receptors. He has no known weakness, but it can be assumed he is easily distracted, and damage to the natural environment could be upsetting for him.

Gurafi
(Romanized name: Graphy)

The only flier amongst the Cassettes, Gurafi is also responsible for their aerial intelligence, and his sense of sight is unmatched. It's assumed he's also rather quick and agile in the air. The calmest of the four Dino-cassettebots, Gurafi often plays peacemaker for his more hot-headed teammates. He is possibly also good friends with the Dinobot Swoop.

Noizu
(Romanized name: Noise)

The most violent and bad-tempered of the group, it's unknown if it is because he's territorial (like Ramhorn) or if there is another reason. His function is that of forest investigation, so it is possible that he may have some knowledge about trees and other forest flora and fauna. Perhaps deforestation and the destruction of forest and jungle habitats around the world - not only by the Decepticons, but also by humans - contributed towards his bad temper to others.

He has strong, razor-sharp fangs and claws, and he idolizes the Dinobot Grimlock for his strength and bravery.

Decibel
(Romanized name: n/a)

Older brother to Legout, Decibel also sports the humanoid/mechanoid form. In this form he has both Gurafi's speed and Noizu's strength, and incredibly loyal to Blaster (Twincast in the Headmasters series). However, the combination of Noizu's hostility and Gurafi's calmness usually means he comes across as a bit of a prim and proper mech, maybe even a little bit bossy towards the other Cassettebots.

It is unknown what his primary function is, but it can be assumed he is a warrior in this form, probably a defensive one. He has a pair of twin shoulder-mounted fire blasters that can produce heat of upto 9000 C. No known weakness, but his bossy/proud attitude may earn him some hostility from his teammates.
