Dabs at Tears

Good Morning my sweet flisters, Happy Sunday!

I thought I'd share an icon that I made a while back (with the help of my son) as I was trying to learn PS.  It's not anywhere near the quality that many of you hold in your talent, but I kinda like it because I'm such a romantic about how Tolkien called his wife, Tinúviel.  This is a very young photo of ( Read more... )

:huggles you:: thanks for the quote! That is a great one! Thanks for posting it! And i do agree it's touching that Tolkien thought that Edith was like Tinuviel as he was Beren. (as mentioned on his tombstone. ;)
hope you're doing well Cassie-- i've been MIA too in LJ land and am trying desperately to catch up but RL has been a great handfull these days. :p
I need to get back in fandom land and posting Tolkien quotes. :)
:huggles you more::
miss you!

*glomps and rolls my Peri An*
Yes, RL really gets a hold of us, doesn't it? But every once in a while, I just have to put things aside and come in here. Especially after my most wonderful weekend where a friend and a family member were very interested to listen to me go on and on about Tolkien and his writings. It was fun and really made me crave some letter reading! lol

I do miss you too!! Very much!!! *hugs you tight*

What a poetic icon! Really lovely :)

Love the quotation, too. What a softie JRR was! I can't imagine, say, my dad writing to his aunt and talking about his tears! *hands Cass a hankie* Don't cry on your keyboard, though... you'll short it out :p

I'm so glad that your passion continues to burn for writing. You're very good... and will only continue to improve as you keep at it ;)

Lol, I can't imagine my Hubby doing that either. But I've known alot of men who can get emotional yet keep their masculinity. I admire a man who is not afraid to show his feelings. ;) roflmao And don't worry, it's a wireless keyboard. *snickers*

*blushes* Thanks, Ami, it's encouraging to hear your words. I do love to write, though I haven't been able to do much in this last year. I can easily see how life kept JRR from finishing his books over so many years. *Huggles*
