Back in October I got a new Subaru Impreza (a couple of pics are linked from this post). I'm very happy with it. From your list, it is most comparable in size and shape to the Mazda 3, I believe.

I took Tae Kwon Do for 8 years, from when I was 7 until 16. I highly recommend it and unfortunately would not have the time or compatible schedule to start up martial arts training again. I wish you the best, though - it's fun!

We're looking into getting a more commute-friendly car (to make up for my not very environmentally-friendly Jeep) and this is the leading contender at the moment. Also, one of my college roommates had an Altima and it served him really well.

Hondas are very reliable as well. Although they do look like Tauruses now. Or..wait..it's the Taurus that looks like the Volvo which looks like the Honda? No, the Sonata that looks like... Aw, heck. I miss the days when the cars were less aerodynamic but easier to tell apart. But many good choices. Except that Malibu, of course.

Almost every car made in the last few years looks remarkably similar to a lozenge.
