I'm not going to debate the points about Bush that you brought up because frankly I'm ashamed to say that I'm not self-educated about half of them to hold an intelligent conversation about them and I don't have the free time at work right now to start digging. I will say that my instinct tells me that each of the above points are probably debatable and that there is at least room for discussion on either side

Here's the difference, or at least a difference, as I see it: Those Conservatives who espouse the "If you're not with us then it's treason" attitude still claim to support the constitutional right to freedom of speech. So both sides agree that Americans have the "right" to voice dissenting opinions, even while both sides emphatically do not agree that Americans should voice dissenting opinions (because it's "giving aid and comfort to the enemy").
