Thank you, Doctor

Have you ever noticed how people on TV and movies call doctors, Doctor? Like with no last name. Does anyone ever do that in real life?

I do sometimes, but that's only because I'm bad at remembering names.

Back when I worked at the hospital, there was this woman who had taken to calling /everyone/ "doctor", and it kind of caught on, so suddenly everyone was running around going "Thank you, doctor" to the lab techs and me and the other transcriptionists and the receptionist... the works. It was very weird.

Well I guess its not as weird as I thought it was. I kind of thought it was a movie convention.

Thanks you guys!

You can put a white coat on Beaker but it will never make him a doctor.

Well, I bet you're right all the same - they do seem to call each other "doctor" more often than most (except that woman I used to work with - grin). Probably because in movies they're worried you're going to forget Denise Richards is a doctor from one scene to the next. grin!

Dr. Casino Queen has a nice ring to it, don't you think? That's how I'm going to refer to you from now on.

Glad to see you writing entries again...gives me some place else to waste time at work ;-)

Thanks again for such a great weekend! Can't wait to see you again...
