Looks like a swell time, although those steep steps bring back memories of the Potholes Trail at Devil's Lake.

I was mentally comparing this to hiking the Grand Canyon, but while that was longer (and certainly *hotter*), I don't remember any particular point being that steep/strenuous. Good job!

aww...you did a great recap. now I feel less guilty about not putting tons of trail pics in (I always fret over which ones to use). I think you're right..sunrise and Alum Cave in fog were the best of my bunch as well.

Slomack might need to start training.

my calves still hurt! (but that might be residual ankle issues - the purple is still pretty gorgeous).

Hell I only "trained" for a few weeks and she walked a marathon and half - she can hike up in three hours easy!

If you could make the trail to the top of the mountain, um, flatter, I might be able to do it! Hell, even *Bloat* looks tired!

Seriously, looks like it was an amazing experience, and I am so glad you guys were able to do it!!!

Great recap. And that photo is amazing. Aren't you proud of yourself for doing it?!

I'd read about their "bottomless" glass and wondered how that'd fare in the hands of GYDGs. Amateurs. :)
