And just outside Heathrow is NOT the place to remember this salient fact!

Last weekend went so wrong! But at least we now know how much a return taxi trip from heathrow to clifton costs* :o)

In the uk, there are these big long metal things called TRAIN TRACKS that span the country... They are used by big metal things called trains, which go faster and cheaper than taxis...

Not at 1.30 am there aren't, in fact, not before 7.40 am on a saturday! (bloody trains!)

Although a 3 hour round trip is probably better than any of the trains could do!!

I take it this it is a passport thing?
They still seem ask for it even within the EU... Most european countries don't require one for travel between them, but the UK seems to be a bit different. Best to take it anyway. (I know, I know, hindsight etc. Sorry)

Yep, forgot his passport. They do let him use his military ID to travel to Europe, but hen we hit the Norway problem :o(

We should have taken it anyway, but we were crap :oP

It was himself, not me unfortunately :o) As far as I know he got there, no-one has got in touch to tell me differently, but I've no way of contacting him except by letter for the next two months :o(
