I was surprised today to get a comment on my writing/book blog from an author. He had read a review I wrote of his book and was dead chuffed with what I said.

And why not? It was a good book! A Game of Soldiers came out earlier this year, and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Actually I'm dead chuffed that he read my review!

Your post is T3h Aw3s0me for 2 reasons:
1. Assuming 'dead chuffed' is a good thing, like "He was totally blown away by my review.." then YAYYAYAYAY! That's is so neat!!!!
2. I need to add 'dead chuffed' to my intimidatingly small arsenal of neat sayings that utterly confuses the folks around here.

That is utterly awesome! It feels good, doesn't it? back before blogging in the mists of time I did a review of a book for a small F$SF mag--not one of the name ones--and the author contacted me. I was pretty chuffed, too :) :)
