I found it in a cardboard box in the wardrobe in my mother's spare room. ;) It's one of about 15 books that belonged to my great grandmother and purchased between around 1910 and 1930. Some of them are literally falling to pieces they have been read so often. Most of them are romances which is not my favourite genre, and explains why I have never read them before, but my sister has and had suggested I read one where the heroine is a trainee nurse in 1917 - it's Mills & Boon's first doctor/nurse romance! Hysterical. Most of the authors are pretty much forgotten these days but there are wonderful social documents. I've been toying with the idea of writing an article about them.
