I've not posted anything in almost a year - basically since I defended. I'm not sure who's even reading this anymore, tbh.

Great hearing from you and many, many congrats on the PhD, I know how hard that road was. Great hearing from ya and hope you continue to post. I need to get off my duff and do it too, but I'm more of a lurker on here and focused mostly on FB.

Hey Jason,
I have fallen far away from LJ and FB (never really got into FB as much as LJ) the past several months. Been really preoccupied with life offline.

I know that dealing with loss of grad school friends is hard. I remember it well. We were scattered all over the place, when the dust finally settled. I was one of the first ones out, and it took awhile, but we all scattered. But we did keep in touch. And I'm still close with the closest of them all, even after 18 years. Ye gods, has it been that long?

Hope you get that last paper out. I know how long and drawn-out that can be.
