INORITE?

I had such a headache when I compiled mine the night before, I had to call a friend to pick me up from lab. I couldn't drive.

This was 1994. I wrote my thesis on a Mac using MacWrite II. No way do to Tables. I had to tab everything. Getting things to align for the Table of Contents almost drove me insane. Many of my figures would nowadays be done with digital images, but back then, they were all paper photographs, cut and glued to posterboard, labeled with rub-on letters and such, then re-shot on film. The final images where then laser photocopied and inserted into the thesis. Since the numbering of pages has gaps that the software couldn't handle, I had to insert blank pages into the document, and then replace then with the photocopies. and then on those pages, write the page number in by hand.

Times have changed.
