superplin brought up some really interesting things. but i think one point that he kinda missed was that when nina went back to her home, everything seemed to be ok but we knew that it wasn't. then they bring us back to angel&co, where everything seems to be ok. we should all know that it isn't.

i like the priority/distraction analogy, and the way he compared it to not having a crisis management plan because one is too busy with all the day to day things. i think there may be a major arc here, but it is one that we can't see. something is going on right under their noses, and no one will know about it until it's too late because they're too busy dealing with the monster of the week.

he also brought up some interesting points about wes - i hope he's right and there is more going on with him than we know about. especially if it will get him more screen time. he's so pretty.

sidebar - with the memory wipes, what is the status of fred and gunn? did that ever happen? how did it end? how far did it get in the first place?

The Wes spec was interesting - I hadn't thought anything about it, but now I'll bet he's in for something big. Something big is happening in the 7th ep - one of the spoiler people online was spazzing about it.

They haven't said yet exactly how far back the mind-wipe goes. If ALL memory of Connor has been erased...Ep 7 of season 3 is when Darla showed up pregnant. At that far back there hasn't been any Gunn/Fred, and very little Wes/Fred (ugh!) either. Wes' scar has also been erased, whicih suggests it's more than just a mind-wipe.

Gunn and Fred had progressed to dating and sleeping together - possibly living together in one of the hotel rooms, though that was never explicitly addressed - but they broke up when Gunn carried out her revenge on her old physics professor (who was the one who shoved her through the portal to Pylea 5 years ago). Fred had wanted to kill the professor, but Gunn did it for her to spare her that kind of guilt/issues.
