When Luke came home from work a few days later he found his friend sitting on the couch with his laptop on the coffee table in front of him. "Hey." The blond greeted as he plopped down next to Jason.
"Hey Luke." Jason replied with a smile, closing his laptop. "I've been waiting for you!" Jason turned to face him; excited to talk to him.
"Why? What's up?" Luke asked, rubbing his tired eyes for a moment. He was still having problems falling asleep and had only managed to get like three or four hours of sleep a night, which was slowly started to wear him out.
"Well, since Reid is working the late shift today I thought we could finally talk about what exactly happened between you two cause I've been dying to know." Jason said.
Luke gave him a sad smile. He didn't really want to talk about Reid anymore, but at the same time he thought it might actually help him to get everything off his chest. So he finally told Jason everything. He told him how he had wished for Jason to come back after the first few days and how he and Reid had slowly started to get to know each other. Things got better and better with every passing day. He told him how his attraction for Reid at grown over that time. He told him about their first kiss and how he hadn't been able to resist the older man any longer. "I thought I can handle it. You know, just have fun with him without worrying what might happen in the future, but I guess I'd suppressed what I really felt for him the entire time." He sighed. "And now, Reid isn't even talking to me anymore. Well, apart from when he asked me about my new "lover"." Luke used air quotes to accentuate his story.
"Your what?" Jason raised an eyebrow.
"Well I'm guessing he saw me with George. He's my new colleague who works in the Style section and we've had lunch together a few times and Reid obviously thinks there is something going on between him and I." Luke explained. "But instead of just asking me about it he just assumed that he is my new lover, so I didn’t set him straight. If he wants to act like a jerk and he can't even talk to me anymore, fine, I don't give a damn either."
"I don't believe that and neither do you." Jason said, knowing that he was right when the younger man didn't contradict. "Honestly? I think he was jealous Luke."
Luke snorted. "Yeah, right." He knew Reid hadn't denied it when he accused him to be jealous, but he still didn't want to be believe that it might be true; that the older man really had been jealous.
"Well what other reason could there be for him to react like that?" Jason asked.
"I don't know but he definitely wasn't jealous!" Luke got up from the couch, heading for the fridge.
Jason let out a sigh before he followed his friend. "I think you should tell him how you feel Luke."
The blond grabbed a bottle of water out of the fridge, closing it with a thud before he turned around to face Jason. "No, I'm not gonna tell him anything and you promised me that you wouldn't tell him either."
"Luke---"
"No, Jason. I'm not going to make a complete fool out of myself and I now really don't want to talk about it anymore." Luke said, slumping down onto one of the bar stools.
"Fine. I'll let it go." Jason said as he sat down next to his friend. For now anyway.
"Good." Luke forced a smile and took sip from his water. "Now tell me about you and Marc. I want to know everything."
Jason's face immediately lit up. He told Luke about how he had run into Marc on his way back to his hotel one night, how they had hit it off again right away and how they had spent the entire night talking until they fell asleep into each others arms. "We wanted to take it slow and we decided to go out on a date. But when he was supposed to pick me up a few days later, we, uh, we didn't even leave the hotel room that night." He said, feeling himself blush. "He even apologized for breaking up with me in college because I wasn't ready to come out to the world and he told me that it was one of the things he regretted most in his life. I told him that I'm wasn't not mad at him, not anymore, and that it was more like I was angry at myself for not being able to come out back then even though I knew he'd be right be my side every step of the way." Jason sighed. "God, I miss him."
"I bet." Luke replied with a small smile. "I'm sure it's not easy with the distance and all. I guess you talked about that?"
Jason nodded. "Yeah, we did. I told him that as much as I loved being in LA , I couldn't really see myself living there everyday. Fortunately, Marc doesn't see himself growing old in LA either, so who knows? Maybe it's too soon to even think about something like that but I feel like we've already wasted enough years."
"Do you know when you're going to see him again?" Luke asked; he was getting excited for his friend.
"Not yet. He wants to come visit me as soon as possible though." Jason replied.
"I'm really happy for you and I hope that you can work something out." Luke said, pulling his friend into a hug.
"Isn't this lovely." Reid's sarcastic voice caused them to pull apart, neither of them had even noticed him walking into the room.
"Jealous?" Jason asked with a sly smile.
Reid snorted but otherwise ignored his roommates, walking straight to the fridge.
Jason turned to look at Luke, rolling his eyes. That's when he had an idea. Now was a good moment as any to test his theory that Reid had been jealous when he saw Luke with George, he just hoped that the blond would play along. "So, you were saying that George works in the Style section?"
Luke remained silent for a moment, knowing what Jason was trying to do. He glanced at Reid who seemed to be occupied with making one of his famous sandwiches and thought 'why the hell not?'. So he lionized about what a great guy George was and what an amazing work he did, making sure that he was talking loud enough for Reid to hear every word. "He is going to take me shopping tomorrow and give me some advice. I'm actually really looking forward to it."
Reid snorted. "Style section. Stereotype much? Why am I not surprised?" He muttered under his breath before he turned around to face his roommates. "So, uh, "Queer Eye" is going to give you fashion advice? That's hilarious." Reid teased as he licked mustard off his thumb. This little movement distracted Luke, but only for a second.
"Oh really? You don't even know him Reid!" Luke replied, feeling anger rise within him.
"I saw the way he was dressed and that's all I need to know." Reid picked up his plate and left without another word.
"I told you so." Jason said after Reid slammed the door shut on his way out. "He was definitely jealous."
Luke rolled his eyes. He didn't even dare to think that Jason might be right. "I still think he is only being a jerk." He slid down from the bar stool, placing a hand on Jason's upper arm. "Thanks for listening man, but I think I'm gonna call it an early night."
Jason sighed, wondering what he could do to help his friends.

Reid sat at his bedroom desk and tried to focus on the files he brought home with him from work but he found himself thinking about Luke and Mr. fashion advice George more than he would like to admit, wondering what Luke saw in that guy. 'I guess he really wasn't kidding when he said that what we had was only sex' Reid thought.
A knock on the door brought him out of his thoughts. "Go away!"
He turned around at the sound of the door being opened and saw Jason peeking into the room. "Can we talk?"
"No. I don't think there is anything to talk about." Reid replied and then turned back to files.
"Well I think there is." Jason stepped into the room and leaned himself against the closed door, crossing his arms above his chest. "What is going on with you Reid? You barely talk to either of us anymore and if you do, you act like a complete jerk."
"I am a jerk in case you hadn't noticed yet."
Jason snorted. "Are you gonna tell me what's going on with you or not?"
"Fine. You really want to know? Luke and I slept together while you were in LA and now he is acting like it never happened and is gushing over George because he doesn't want to hurt your feelings or whatever!" The words are out of his mouth before he can stop himself and it wasn't like he promised Luke not to tell Jason about their affair and the blond was already moving on, so why not? Yet Reid immediately regretted blurting it out like that and added. "Shit. I didn't want you to find out about it, not like this at least. Look I'm sorry okay? I know you've been attracted to me or whatever but I swear I never meant to hurt you. That's why I never started anything with you, even though you're not that bad looking, but I knew I could never give you what you wanted. Besides I don't exactly have that many friends so I didn't want to screw that up either and I hope this won't change anything between us."
"You're babbling Reid." Jason said, trying to hide a smile. "You know Luke used almost the same words when he told me what happened between the two of you."
"He told you?" The older man almost shouted, wondering why Luke hadn't mentioned it to him. But then he realized that it was probably his own fault since he had been ignoring the blond.
"Yep. He told me a few days ago after I called him out on the fact that both of you were acting all weird since I came back." Jason explained. He pushed himself away from the door and sat down on the edge of Reid's bed. "So I guess it was pretty obvious that I was attracted to you but I accepted it a long time ago that you and I would never happen. Besides you don't need to worry about that anymore anyway 'cause I'm no longer single." Jason had been itching to tell Reid since he came back.
"You're not?" Reid asked. Truth to be told, it took a load of his mind when Jason told him about him and Marc; not to mention that Reid was truly happy for his friend.
"So now that we've resolved that, you wanna tell me what is really going on between you and Luke?"
"What do you mean?" Reid asked. "There is nothing going on between Luke and me. Not anymore."
"Really? Because I was watching you earlier when we talked about George and it seemed like you were jealous." Jason said.
Reid snorted. "Well that's were you're wrong. Luke and I had sex, that doesn't mean we're going to get married. Now that I know that you’re not going to kill me in my sleep, I can move on and Luke can be happy with George or whoever for all I care. And now I have to get back to my files so if you'll excuse me..."
Since Jason already knew that it wouldn't make sense to talk to Reid right now, he went back to his own room. One thing that he knew for sure, now that he had talked to both of his friends, was that they were falling for each other and both of them were too stubborn to admit it. He didn't know how but he was determined to help his friends.
