Unintentional hiatus and some new accountability

Oct 21, 2010 19:37

So... I accidentally took a hiatus from LJ the last few months. I can't say I had a real reason for it. I used to update my LJ a lot during lunch at work, but now I pretty much always take less than an hour for lunch and I no longer eat alone at my desk. Now I have lunch with friends. I'd blame being busy, but when am I not busy? It just happened, ( Read more... )

This is wonderful! I love both the idea and your list.

I might talk with some of my friends and see if they want to start their own Accountability Group.

It's been a good thing! We've had two meetings now and that extra incentive was just the extra boost I needed.

Caryle! Good to see you back. I've missed you. *big hugs*

I love the idea of accountability and I love your list. I think I'm going to make one of my own - I need to feel like I'm accomplishing things even if they're small.

Things go on much as usual here. I'm busy with volunteering at school and planning christmas programs, the boys are busy with everything, especially Ian who broke his wrist last Saturday. Oy. Boys! Tim is busy with all that grade 7 entails and Nik is an almost 4 year old who drives me crazy but I love him to death. :). Hubby's still awaiting gall bladder surgery (scheduled for Dec. 7) and it's my birthday tomorrow so I'm celebrating for the next 2 days. :)

I'm back! Yay! *hugs back*

I thought I saw that Ian broke his wrist! Owie! I hope he heals quickly. Broken bones are no fun. At least he made it through the summer before this happened. It would have been rotten not to be able to go swimming, etc.

And let me be the first to wish you a happy birthday tomorrow. :) Hope it's a great one.

Thanks! I did have a nice birthday. :)

Ian is feeling better and tomorrow he goes to see a doctor about getting a new cast and seeing how his wrist is shaping up. Hopefully it's starting to heal properly and won't need breaking and resetting. *crosses fingers*

Caryle's back! Good to read you again! I am doing the same thing this year. I have a list of things to accomplish. Your list gave me some new ideas. I really need to get on #26, but I don't think #23 will ever happen for me. :)

You know, #23 is on there because of all the movies I watch. I've realized that if I ever had to hold on to a ledge/cliff of some sort while someone tried to figure out how to pull me back up to safety that I'd last about 20 seconds. Not good. My theory is that if I could do a pullup that I might be able to help save myself.

Yes, I'm being overly dramatic, but you never know... And by this measure, I really out to work on my running skills - you never know when the zombie apocolypse might happen. I might need to outrun a zombie. ;)
