There will be sun in the sky

I’m sorry I’ve been remiss in updating since sobbing into my LJ, dumping very sad news about Chloe-kitty onto the world, and then running off to avoid thinking about things. Even though I haven’t thanked each of you personally, I wanted to acknowledge that your kind words meant a great deal to me after that shocking event. I’m doing pretty well, I ( Read more... )

For pet owners, our pets are much like our kids and their loss can leave big holes in our lives. I'm glad that you're beginning to heal from Chloe's passing.

Have you thought about adopting a new kitty? Not to replace Chloe, but a new companion to make the house less lonely? You have such a kind and loving heart and I just imagine there's some furry feline out there wanting to snuggle up to someone as special as you!

I can fully understand where you're at right now, as I felt the same after having to put my kitty down after having her for 17 years. There's a hole that just can't be filled with anything else, but trust me, eventually the pain does mostly dissolve into good memories. It sounds like you're beginning to get there already. I'm glad.

I second ocannie's thought - maybe not yet, but eventually might you consider getting another pet? You're obviously a cat lover and there are always tons of kitties out there looking for a good home. Maybe you might be able to let a new furry friend into your heart someday.

I'm glad you had a chance to go on a trip with Jeff. It sounds like it was fun! (mostly) Can't wait to hear about it.

*HUGS*

I kept a towel with Gulliver's cat hair on it in a plastic baggie for years. I have a hard time believing I ever threw it away; I think I must have put in the bottom of a box of some sort.

You're mourning. You do it in whatever way is right for you.

Big hugs. Can't wait to see you.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I'm glad I got a chance to meet Chloe, and I hope that someday you might be ready for a new kitty, as others have written. There are so many at the shelters who need a good home. I'm thinking of you.
