[ Zagi has suitably fallen and can't get up. Right now he's extremely exhausted from fighting prior, breaking in and out... And not only that, going against Golbez without any weapons. [poor Martel is so outmatched, but you've gotta give her credit for not just taking off running. his punch knocks the breath out of her, but she aims Ray at him now. (Let's see, this translates to.. 0:26 of this.) Which sucks a lot worse than you'd expect from her. But he's got maybe two more tries before she's hurting pretty bad, so keep at it Zagi!]

[ He gets it head on and is sent flying right back, he lands on his back but he quickly uses his arms twisting them around so he is able to hop quickly on his feet again. It's quite obvious he was hurt from that and there's no way of denying it. However, he looks even more excited now, which might be unnerving to the tree spirit.

You're lucky he doesn't have the blades Martel, he would be doing a ton more damage as he rushes at her straight at her again, sending a kick flying towards her. ]

[She's in over her head and she knows it. Curse her righteousness. Heh... Anyway, the kick hits her dead on, straight to the upper stomach, and she drops to one knee, repeating her previous spell. Sure, a little less variety than she necessarily could have, but repeating the same spell takes less time than preparing a whole new one.]

Come on you challenged me, you should be stronger! Weak, weak, weak!

[ This time however, him being skilled in fighting is able to tell when she's casting and this time jumps from that spell - even if he does get grazed by it this time. He's fast on his feet, and once again sends a few blows with his arms aiming at her and soon flipping backwards aiming to kick her and go back again a distance. ]

[though her voice is strained from his assault, she refuses to sound weak:]

[to her dismay, her spell misses, and the blows, especially followed by the kick, which hits her square in the face (though she turned away slightly as it came at her, so more in the cheek area), knock her back a few feet as well. If she gets beat much more, she wouldn't be able to stop him from just heading off to fight the people she's trying to protect.

Her hands are ion the ground this time, so it's a little bit more difficult to tell she's got something up her sleeve... Until a ball of light explodes from the earth beneath his feet. Not that he stands still for very long anyway, it seems...]

[ Now this? Was powerful for him - since that ball of light explodes underneath his feet he doesn't have enough time to react - this sends a shock wave through his body and soon sends him flying back - into the various trees and shrubbery. You hear a dull thump where he falls within the forest, and some scampering, but it's hard to say what exactly happened... Is he coming back? Is he retreating? It's hard to tell. ]

[Okay, now she's got no clue where he's at. Did he escape? He couldn't. She quickly formed up another spell in her hands, all the while half-stumbling backward so her back at least was covered against a fairly large tree. She's trying to catch her breath, her gaze is darting around, and her hands are closed into fists. Really? She hates fighting. But somehow, she's still hoping he's not gone yet.]

[ And luckily for you he's merely just waiting for a time to attack - he comes out from a different area that he he was blown into - he looks a tad scratched up but he patters his feet as he begins to nearly run on all fours as he tries to go faster towards her.

He's aiming for another rapid blow at her, to be honest he's not really seeing her as much of a challenge so chances are - he will simply dash off soon. :( ]

[mun's surprised he's stayed as long as he has. expected him to beat her up and be on his way. but she just had to try. silly martel. Meanwhile, she's against a tree, so the blow does a little more damage because she has no leeway to fall back against. It may or may not have cracked a rib, dunno his strength. =/

she spots her staff, laying on the ground where she'd left it when she'd knelt to heal him. hey, it's better than nothing. she snatches it, turning to face him now. She wasn't much of a fighter even with her staff, and they both knew it.]

[ He spits to the side. looking annoyed like his time was wasted - his expression is one of disgust, and he begins to hop backwards. It's clear he's injured, but now he sees no reason to continue fighting since it's clear the strength between the two... ]

[ He makes an exaggerated tilt of the head, opening his mouth in surprise. He doesn't understand. Short and simple, the only joy he takes is fighting. So he doesn't actually see why she does what she does. He keeps a distance away from her, and begins to scamper away. He's a little scuffed up, but he's able to walk away from this with little problem. It looks like he's used to carrying himself with injuries very well.

As he's going away into the forest, he does one look back at her in complete bafflement and disbelief. Zagi does one short snort, and rushes back into the forest. ]
