I have a soap phobia. Seriously. I mean, I shower and wash stuff but ALL of the soap MUST be rinsed off of something before it can come anywhere near food or my mouth.
My worst nightmare is suds on dishes in the drying rack. *shudder*
To what do I attribute this phobia? When I was young I often heard of parents threatening to wash out their children's mouths. Now, I was a good child and was never subjected to the threat or the punishment. But, it seemed like it must be a terrifying experience if parents threatened it so.
Didnt Spam use to be like a poor man's dinner? Ok the reason I remember hearing that somewhere - probably from my father or mother when I was like alot younger.
I saw on CNN a place in New York that sells spam musubi's, but the've been 'mainlandized'. They have less rice and they put teriaki sauce on it. Which you can find here too, but it's less common.
*smiles* Yup Chicago is a lover of trains. There so many ways to get from place to place and are we the lucky ones that we could just pop on a train and get where we need to go. Though I must admit I rarely use them anymore. I think last yr I probably went on the train maybe 7 times..................
