I've just realized Copernicus was Polish! I didn't know! And according to Wikipedia, he was from Toruń too!

Warsaw looks like such a beautiful city! I especially love that medieval square too, and the barbican.

OMG, Maja, this is a sentimental journey for me! I recognized all places. :)

That dress of yours is absolutely fabulous. Wow!

Aww, I'm glad I could take you on this journey! Maybe it could convince you to revisit all the places in person :D

And thank you for the compliment *blush*

Yes, that's true, there's the house Copernicus was born in Toruń, you can visit it, it's a museum now.

I found Warsaw to be a mix of beauty and ugliness. The centre is quite nice, especially the old part, but even there you can see some rather ugly things, and the districts built in the 60 or 70 are just awful.

You look lovely! I adore the dress! J. happens to be here and I asked him what he thought of your dress, and he said, "Lookin' good"! You have a fan. He also really liked your necklace. :)

As for Warsaw, it also 'looks good' -- very good! It reminds a lot of Prague except quieter and sunnier (I was in Prague in May and it was very rainy). I'm so glad you had a great time. You both look relaxed and wonderful!

Thanks for sharing these... Warsaw is now on my list of cities I need to visit. :)

Thanks :)I found the dress on sale and simply had to have it. I'm tickled pink that both you and J. approve :)

I think a lot of old European cities look similar to some extent, but I liked Prague much more than Warsaw. It really had a feel of a midieval city, with its narrow streets, authentic old houses and churches.

But yes, you should visit Warsaw, though I think you'd like Gdańsk and Toruń even more :)
