Sam, her duffle bag slung over her shoulder, tried to decide on which bed would be best. After some debate, she put her stuff down on the bed closest to the door, but not behind it a/k/a B2. She wasn't sure what Jack, D'anna, or Cedric could do offensively, but she knew what her capabilities were

"Jaye, hi," Alec says back, smiling. "You got a bunk on the A side yet?"

"I threw my stuff on one of the beds, but I don't know which one," she says. "Hi."

"Not that it matters - we're practically all in each other's laps with how small this place is," he says, smile warming a bit in amusement. "Hi."

"You said that already," she smiles. "And there really are worse places to be."

[x5_alec]

He snickers. "Glad to hear you think so." Alec cocks his head, looking at Jaye. "So I hear there's a coffee place in town. I haven't been there yet, but I'm sure you know the way?"

"I know it well," she says, and really cluelessly adds, "Want directions?"

Alec grins, undeterred. "I have my limits, and one of those is dating myself," he says, amused.

She blinks. "Huh," she says. "Yeah, that could lose its appeal pretty quick..."

"So?" He smiles, looking hopeful. "Could I maybe entice you to go with me, in order to avoid that kinda pathetic outcome?"

[fates_jaye]

"Hm. Well, wouldn't want pathetic," she says. "I could be so enticed."

"Good to know," he replies, grinning again. "This week, sometime? I've only got workshops on Friday, but I don't know your schedule."

[fates_jaye]

"The only days are completely free are Tuesday and Thursday," she says. If she leaves the pretty room. "Otherwise we have to work around classes."

"Tuesday," he suggests with a nod. "We can see how it goes. Maybe Thursday will be the second date." Alec grins, looking quite pleased at having managed his first date invitation. Not that Jaye needed to know that.

Wow, thinking ahead. Also, Jaye's wondering when fling with a guy (who has a doppleganger) and then agree to date him became a thing with her. "Yay Tuesday," she agrees.
