Sam rolled over on her side and looked at her
flowers, pretending that she hadn't spent a good ten minutes sniffing them the day before. With the rain and dark, she wasn't in a big rush to get up, and spent the next few minutes fingering the petals and smiling slightly. It had been a while since she'd gotten flowers from a guy who had kissed her. Even if she never saw Mac again, well, he'd confused the hell out of her, but he was a nice man who deserved good things to happen to him. She wished him well.
Today was technically her forty-first birthday, but for her new purposes, she was eighteen. Somehow being able to vote wasn't quite the same thrill it had been the first time around. It was also graduation day for the seniors--and she wasn't sure exactly what Fandom High would be (or would have been) without them. Lots of changes. She wasn't sure how she felt about that, either.
She'd go to the graduation ceremony later, but for now, she'd lounge in bed a little while longer.
