I think I'm the only one who finished watching last night pissed off at Derek.  I think I'm the only one who finished last night hopeful for Season 4.

I'm not the only one who is mad at Shonda, though.  That's pretty much across the board.

I ended this season pissed at both Meredith and Derek and in love with both Meredith and Derek.

I'm conflicted about it and find myself going back and forth on whose side I'm on. Derek was a complete ass, even with the love of my life stuff, and the you let your friends in, but on the other hand Meredith didn't swim, and she keeps pushing him away and then coming back to him only to push him away again. Derek lets himself be pushed, and he broke her and called her a whore, but she doesn't deal and she has no idea how to do a relationship and she reacted badly when he put her on the spot. <--- the thought process at the moment.

I'm on their side regardless. I think this breakup will actually work for them. To get back together they're finally going to have to deal with the bullshit that's got them to where they are now. And that is why I have hope for Season 4.

I still refuse to believe Derek/Lexie will be two sided, especially when he finds out she's Lexie Grey and an intern.

It was a mish-mash! For you it must have been doubly irritating because you stick so close to canon in your fics. The GA writers in the finale didn't even bother to be consistent in their own story lines. Telling a girl you flirted with another girl and then telling her she is the love of your life is very confusing. One comment cancels the other out. And the timing everyone picks to try to have a conversation! No wonder no one ever really talks.
